Laura Abreu is an audiovisual filmmaker whose trajectory within the audiovisual scene of Rio Grande do Norte is grounded in film editing as a tool for constructing meaning and emotion. With experience in projects such as the documentary A Maré, selected for the 12th Mostra de Cinema de Gostoso, and the short film Angelica and Luciano, selected for the OFF - Contemporary Film Festival, her work seeks to combine the technical rigor of post-production with narrative sensitivity, understanding the cut as the place where cinema truly thinks.
Her practice is informed by research into the manipulation of the gaze and the Kuleshov Effect, transforming each project into an immersive and authorial visual experience. She holds a degree in Social Communication with a specialization in Audiovisual from UFRN, and has been a member of Rabicó Produções since 2022 and of the Caju-Íris Films since 2024.
