Yingna Lu

Yingna Lu is an Australian creative producer who began her career in advertising. She is a co-founder of the production company Spaceboy Studios, established with writer-director Steve Anthopoulos, which received Screen Australia Enterprise funding in 2023.

Lu started out working with producer Bill Leimbach in feature development, and in music management for the band Lime Cordiale. She went on to produce scripted digital series for the ABC and Foxtel with Matilda and Bryan Brown, as well as a number of Vimeo Staff Pick videos, among them music clips for Rüfüs Du Sol and SBCR and the short film We're All Going to Die. In 2016 she was named one of Screen Producers Australia's Ones to Watch and received Screen Australia's $20,000 screen internship.

Her short films include Tangles and Knots (2017), directed by Renée Petropoulos, which screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, SXSW and the Melbourne and Sydney film festivals; Voice Activated (2022), written and directed by Anthopoulos, which had its international premiere at the Tribeca Festival, received an AACTA nomination and won Short Film Production of the Year at the 2023 SPA Awards; and Souvenir, a further collaboration with Petropoulos funded through Screen NSW, which screened at the Iris Prize Festival in 2025 and SXSW in 2026.

For television, Lu produced the ten-part second season of the AACTA-nominated ABC series The PM's Daughter with Fremantle, and the ABC half-hour series Caper Crew with Easy Tiger, which aired in April 2026. She is developing the Spaceboy Studios slate, including the feature Keep Walking, written and directed by Petropoulos and executive produced by Liz Watts, supported by Screen NSW's Short to Feature Fast Track initiative.
