Jonathan Blagrove

Jonathan Blagrove is a British writer-director whose work explores connection and the complexities of human relationships. As a director, his short films include the award winning thriller HOLD (2020) and the restrained drama INAPPROPRIATE (2023). His latest film, MURMUR (2026), is an intimate study of motherhood and the tentative possibility of healing. Working collaboratively with his actors through rehearsal and improvisation, Jonathan creates emotionally truthful, performance led films rooted in the tensions of everyday life.
