Maddock Horror Comedy Universe
The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) is an Indian shared universe consisting of Hindi-language supernatural comedy horror films. All the films in this universe are based on Indian folklore. The first installment was Stree, followed by Roohi. These films were standalone, and the universe-building began with Bhediya, in which characters from Stree appeared. The next was Munjya, where characters from Bhediya appeared. Stree 2 also featured characters from Bhediya, making Bhediya the shared connection between all three films. So far, Roohi remains a standalone entity in this universe.
Stree
Set in the town of Chanderi, Stree is based on the urban legend of Nale Ba that went viral in Karnataka in the 1990s, and features Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles.
Bhediya
Inspired by legendary folklore rooted in Arunachal Pradesh, Bhediya tells the story of Bhaskar, a man who gets bitten by a mythical wolf and begins to transform into the creature himself. As Bhaskar and his ragtag buddies try to find answers, he is worried that the monster in him will wipe out human existence in the local town.
Munjya
A young man's visit to his native village unveils a family secret and a vengeful spirit, Munjya, who wants to get married. Now the young man must fight to protect himself and his love from Munjya's clutches leading to a humorously chaotic and terrifying adventure.
Stree 2
Following the events of 'Stree', the town of Chanderi is being haunted again. This time, women are mysteriously abducted by a terrifying headless entity. Once again, it's up to Vicky and friends to save their town and loved ones.
Thama
A determined historian, sifts through old manuscripts, seeking clues about the mysterious legends of vampires in Vijay Nagar.
Bhediya 2: The Beginning of End
